Here Are 5 Signs You Are In The Right Relationship

  • You give each other m0ral support

When your friends and family want to see you and your partner together, there is something to savor. Sometimes outside perspective is needed to see things you are too close and emotionally invested in to appreciate or view clearly. Don’t base the value of your relationship on the opinion of others, but listen to the voices you love and respect.

  • You both work hard for the relationship

You’re both willing to put in the work. You jump into action without skipping a beat, and you work on an issue until it’s over. No hesitations.

  • You are both connected spiritually

There’s just something cosmic that pulls you two back together when you drift apart. It’s unexplainable. But it’s there. And it’s always for the better for both of you.

  • The relationship fights are fair

When a fight does break out, it’s a clean one. Your arguments work toward resolving issues and solving problems while still appreciating each other’s feelings and needs.

  • You are both willing to grow together

You and your partner are evolving together emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Growing closer is easy and a natural course of your relationship.

How To Avoid s*xual Boredom In Marriage

Life is meant to be exciting. Boredom is something man is willing to pay whatever price to do away with. One of the reasons why we get married in the first instance is for companionship, and one major thing we seek companionship for is to make life exciting, to make life fun, to make life interesting. But when in the marriage excitement is still lacking, people easily fall prey of getting it where they shouldn’t. Many men and even some women committed adultery, not because they planned to, but in their quest for excitement.

They went into marriage full of expectations but only to become disappointed a few years down the line because their expectation did not match with the reality they experienced. Life became more of a routine than fun and no one enjoys life as a routine, not even those who are confined to boredom by marriage or any other thing.

Couples must make their marriage fun. Your home must be an exciting place to be for you and your spouse, and even for your children. Your spouse must see you as fun to be with. Life should not be too serious. There are couples who don’t sit down together cracking jokes with each other. They frown around the house. They live life as if life is a disaster. Even when things are not the way you desire them to be, you don’t have to allow them to rob you of your happiness.

Together with your spouse, you must learn to enjoy where you are on the way to where you are going. Don’t live your life as if you are the one carrying all the problem of the whole world on your head. What informs who you are, is not your circumstance but your decision. That anyone is happy and full of life around you is not because life has been favourable to them, it is only because they have chosen to be happy and full of life. They have learnt to put their challenges and problems aside and enjoy life. Everyone has enough reason to keep them sad and touchy, even those we think life has been fair to. You only need to hear them speak.

For your marriage to be fun, s*x must become fun for you and your spouse. Many couples approach s*x as a thing they must do because they are married to one another. s*x must become what you and your spouse want to have because you enjoy having it with one another, and not because you must do it. It must not be a routine. That is why I don’t advocate couples having “set-aside days” of the week to have s*x.

s*x should flow out of our relating with one another. That is why Dr. Kevin Leman advocates that great s*x Begins in the Kitchen. As she is doing the cooking and you are passing the salt, she puts a piece of meat in your mouth, you use your teeth to cut it into two, you spit one half into her mouth while you chew the second half, one thing keeps leading to another and right there on the kitchen table, you are having fun.

That is what it is meant to be “fun”. Thank God the children have gone on holiday.

s*x with your spouse should be fun time. It is not just about you climbing your wife and “doing it”, neither is it just about you lying down there like a log of wood, waiting for him to finish whatever he is doing. You should make it as interesting as possible. You should be inventive about it. Try several methods. Create excitement. Change location. It doesn’t have to be on your bed and in your bedroom all the time. Every ground is a holy land as long as it is only the two of you that are there. From experience I can say that s*x out of the usual place is very exciting and interesting.

Increasing the s*xual excitement in your home takes a conscious effort, it doesn’t just happen. Go out of your way to learn about how to satisfy your spouse, learn and try out different styles. All these you can have access to through reading; there is nothing you want to know that somebody has not written about. Sit down with

Bisola’s Baby Daddy Denies Ever Abandoning Her On The Altar

Bisola Aiyeola’s baby daddy has denied ever abandoning her on the altar saying they never got to one. He admits having a child with her but says it couldn’t work due to their personal differences. Olanrewaju Malcolm, who is an artiste manager and showbiz promoter spoke to Sunday Scoop saying;

“It is a big fat lie that I dumped Bisola at the altar; there was nothing like that. In fact, I’m still looking for the person who wrote that story online because it is malicious. We split because we had some personality traits that could not complement each other and there was never any marriage.”

Expressing his opinion of her conduct while in the house, Malcolm said, “I think she was able to go there, represent herself well and also showcase her talent. She was lively and full of fun while in the house and I guess that’s what viewers want.”

On if he had ever haboured thoughts that Bisola would one day participate in a reality show of that nature, he said, “I have always known her as a very talented person and she always goes for what she wants. In fact, she had been in reality shows before Big Brother.”

Speaking about Bisola’s closeness to Tony while in the house, he said, “She is a grown woman and whatever she did on the show is her business.”

He also said that their daughter, Leyla hasn’t really said much about the show, but “naturally, she’s happy that her mother won.”

Responding to a question on whether they would still get back together, Malcolm said “Everything still remains the same. It doesn’t mean that because she was successful at Big Brother Naija, we are coming back together. There was a reason for our break up, which is personality differences, and those differences are still there.”

Ikoyi Recovery: Governor Wike is a Confused Child – Rotimi Amaechi

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi

Minister of Transportation and former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi has responded to the incumbent governor of the state Nyesom Wike’s claim that the money ($43.4m, £27,800, and N23.2m) found in an apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) belongs to the state government.

Wike had said that Amaechi, during his tenure, syphoned the money which was proceeds from the sale of gas turbines in the state.

Wike, while speaking to journalists on Friday, gave the federal government 7 days to release the money to his state.

Reacting to the development, Amaechi’s media office, in a statement said:

Wike’s reckless, irresponsible and fictitious tirade against the President Buhari administration at his media briefing on Friday is a declaration of war against the federal government.

This has been his regular pastime in recent times, making false allegations against the federal government and threatening the President Buhari administration with fire and brimstone.

Rivers State is perpetually in crisis, the state in a mess as Wike has made a total mess of governance in the state.

That child who sits there as governor is confused, he doesn’t know what to do. Wike’s only solution is to attack Amaechi.

Since he became governor, Wike sleeps and wakes up everyday, with a sole, one-point agenda to attack and denigrate Rotimi Amaechi, no matter how ridiculous and silly he sounds. Everyday in Rivers state, there is one frivolous, false story of what Amaechi did or didn’t do.

Same pattern, the same blatant lies with no proof, same old concocted stories of corruption allegations against Amaechi told with different flavours. At this rate, if Wike is unable to perform his spousal duties, he will blame it on Amaechi. Yes, that’s how despicably low he can go in his consuming fixation to throw mud at Amaechi.

This latest outburst by Wike is typical of him. We are aware that Wike first tried to float the fake news of Amaechi’s ownership of the recovered $43million and the Ikoyi house in the social media using his minions and lackeys, spending huge sums of Rivers money on the failed project.

His minions and lackeys were calling journalists, bloggers and media organisations to run the fake story with promises of almost irresistible mouth-watering compensation for using the fake story.

When that failed and the story didn’t gain traction that was when Wike decided to hurriedly hold the press conference Friday night, to rant and spew his outright lies, yet again without providing any proof of Amaechi’s ownership of both the property and the money.

For clarity and emphasis, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is not the owner of the $43million and the Ikoyi apartment in which the money was recovered from. Amaechi has no business, link or connection to the money or property. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi does not know who owns the money or Ikoyi apartment.

Arsenal Preparing £50m Summer Swoop For Alexis Sanchez’s Replacement

Arsenal are preparing a £50million summer swoop for Porto attacker Yacine Brahimi and Schalke midfielder Max Meyer, according to reports.

The Gunners are believed to be preparing for life without Alexis Sanchez and have started identifying targets to replace the Chilean star who has been in the news for refusing to renew his contract at the Emirates.

Reports in the Sun claim that the North London side will compete with the likes of AC Milan and Inter for the signature of Algerian forward Yacine Brahimi who has been on the club’s radar since the last summer transfer window.

It is also understood that Arsenal wants to sign German play-maker Max Meyer as a potential replacement for Mesut Ozil who might also leave the club after failing to renew his contract with the club but the Gunners will have to compete with Liverpool who are also believed to be eyeing his signature.

Arsene Wenger had recently admitted that the club are not willing to meet Sanchez’s wage demands as it might destabilise the dressing room.

This comes following reports that Arsenal have completed a summer transfer for Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac who is expected to join the Gunners for free after signing a pre-contract agreement.

#BBNaija: T-BOSS: I’m Not a Witch But….

Taking time out of her busy itinerary, Tokunbo Idowu, aka T-Boss, second-runner of the recently concluded Big Brother Naija reality show who generated so much buzz and controversy, speaks to JOE AGBRO JR. about her experience and relationships in the house and how she takes negative comments like water on a duck.

Two months in the Big Brother Naija house. How does it feel being outside?

Actually, it was almost three months. It feels amazing. It’s still very unreal and the love I’ve been getting so far is absolutely humbling. I mean, people came to wait for me, receive me at the airport and they were wearing my face on their T-shirts. And it was so… these people love me and waited there for me. It was really humbling. It’s been very good so far.

A lot of people were rooting for you. And on the last day, while you were dressing, you wore a crown. How did it feel that you didn’t emerge winner?

I really appreciate the efforts they put in. I’ve heard some of the supports… I appreciate and I say to them all, thanks. I did not get the grand prize but I am a winner. I am absolutely a winner and I am an absolute queen. I went there as Tokunbo Idowu, just a simple girl, but right now I’m a queen. And that crown, that’s my crown, it’s befitting of how I feel right now. So, Efe is the grand prize winner but I’m also a winner. Bisola is a winner, everybody is a winner. So, I don’t feel bad at all.

You made it to the top three despite several challenges. Before going into the house, did you have a strategy to win, to get votes?

Absolutely not. Before I went into the house, I did a little bit of research with the limited time I had…to go through some previous winners and see, maybe, what it is they did that made them likable, what strategy they applied.

Just before I went into the house, I’m like, ‘abeg, it’s too much for me, I cannot.’ The only thing I know how to do is to be myself. I will be nice. I will get angry. I will scream. I will cry. I will laugh. I just went in there and I was myself. That was my only strategy…..who loved me loves me, who hates me… I have seen some of the comments and it’s sad.

Now that you’ve come out and you’ve seen the comments. Which of those comments have pained you the most?

None.

You also received the most nominations for eviction from your fellow housemates. How do you feel towards them for getting that title of being the most nominated housemate for eviction?

It was a game. People need to understand that it was a game. Everyone went in there fighting for themselves to get that prize money. It was a game. But truth of the matter is, being enclosed with people, you’re forced to live with them, cry with them, laugh, eat, shout with them, fight with them, doing our tasks, you start bonding with them and you start liking them.

Okay, every week it changes. Today, I like you, tomorrow, I don’t like you too much. It happens. Husband and wife, they fight every day. But I don’t have any bad energy or bad feelings towards any of them. They did what they felt they should do under the circumstances. And it’s fine. I love them all. They’re all talented, crazy people but I love them all.

Of the housemates, who is your favourite?

I don’t have favourites per se. but the person that I would say I really connected with and really bonded the most with would be Debie-Rise because she stayed to the end with me. But off and on, I like everyone.

Could boredom have been responsible for some of the crazy moments that happened in the house?

What is crazy moment in your opinion?

Like the moments when you exposed your B.reasts, about twice… were they intentional?

I was showering. Did I come to the living room? Where did I expose my B.reasts?

The first time, you were in the dressing room and you took off your top

So, I was in the bathroom…

You were not in the bathroom

I was in the private area. Was I in the lounge?

You were in a place that was being recorded. There were videos out there capturing those moments …

I actually saw videos of us in the bathroom but not shower hour.

There were two instances that the internet has captured that you took off your top. Weren’t you aware of what you were doing then?

See, the Big Brother house is a place where you showcase yourself. You’re free to be T-Boss. Whoever T-Boss is, you show the world who T-Boss is. And in my own life, in my normal day-to-day life, I don’t like to wear clothes when I’m walking around in my house. I like to be free, here (pointing from her waist downwards), covered here (pointing upwards from her waist), what’s the point? Or I’ll just wear one small blouse. The Big Brother house was like my house at a point.

So, I would just be very very very free. I didn’t do it out of boredom. No, I was just being myself and walking around without clothes… I didn’t go to the kitchen, you know, because, then, that is like really seeking attention or go out into the garden or to the arena. No, I didn’t do that.

Those actions really created a buzz

Everything creates a buzz. Even when I burb, it creates a buzz. People want to judge, people want to comment. And it’s fine, you know. Just don’t read too much into it.

A columnist, Reuben Abati, wrote a piece where he said you could have won, and were the most worthy to represent Big Brother Naija brand but you lost because of your arrogance. What’s your response to that?

I do not feel I’m an arrogant person. I’m sorry he has that opinion of me. I read the comments. My people actually were afraid that I would get emotional and sad about it. But I’m not. I was actually quite amused when I read his comments about the ‘mango’ part. It was actually quite comical.

Also during the show, some of the housemates described you as ‘manipulative’ and some commentators also used that word and called you a ‘white witch’.

I heard now… Oh, what do I have to say to that? I don’t know. (Asking another person) ‘Oga, was I manipulative?’ You (to the interviewer), do you think I was manipulative? Those were the comments of people

I don’t know. If they saw me like that, it’s sad. I’m not a manipulative person. And I’m definitely not a witch. Oh my God. And my bed is really not cursed.

The issue of Kemen sleeping on the same bed with you led him to being disqualified from the house. Kemen has said what happened under the sheets wasn’t what viewers thought. He said when you come out, you’ll be able to talk about it. What really happened?

Well, since he is saying that, he should just go ahead and actually say what really happened.

Kemen said he was just trying to pull a duvet apart, that both of you usually sleep into each other? And that was what he was trying to do…

(Making faces)… See, since I got back (from South Africa), I haven’t slept. I had one hour sleep last night. My head is full with media interviews and so much running around. The last thing I want to think about now is the Kemen issue. I didn’t like it and to be very honest, Kemen was a good friend. But I really do not want to comment about this right now. I am not ready. When I’m ready, I will speak about it.

It was only after leaving the house that some truths about the housemates, like TTT being married and Gifty being married too, came to the surface. Since coming out of the Big Brother House, have you discovered any surprise about your fellow housemates?

Oh, really, she (Gifty) was once married and she did not know.

Well, that was established after she left the house

OK. So far, nothing has surprised me. About Thin Tall Tony, I always said it, Tony is a married man. He looks like a married man. He carries himself as someone’s father. I have always been saying that in the house. About this Gifty, actually, I’m not thinking much about that right now. So far, I haven’t heard anything that I would say is surprising.

 Are you married?

No, I’m not. I have never been. No.

 Are you in a relationship?

No, I’m not.

So, did you just have a relationship with Miyonse and Jon in the house to pass time?

I knew Miyonse from Abuja when we went for the auditions. He was the only person that was familiar to me. I kind of like leaned into him. He was funny. We get along, you know. Jon also was really nice.

Jon is a really, really sweet guy. Was I passing away time? Big Brother house is a very strange place. But I like both of them. I have the utmost respect for both of them. They were really nice to me in the house. What else am I supposed to comment about them? Was it a romantic? Miyonse told me he was in a relationship. At the end of the day, he was there fighting for the money to go and spend on his girlfriend, not on me. And Jon, well, he’s not ready for a relationship, so, that’s all.

‘Barcelona Will Risk Everything Against Juventus’ – Enrique

Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique, has said that they will risk it all, in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Juventus on Wednesday.

The La Liga champions were beaten 3-0 by Juve in the first leg and the Italian club have only conceded twice in Europe this season.

But Enrique, who watched his team oevrturn a 4-0 first leg deficit to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 6-5 on aggregate in the last round, says they will try to pull off another comeback at Camp Nou.

“I am sure that at some point during the game we will be close to the comeback,” the Barca boss said in a news conference, after beating Real Sociedad 3-2 on Saturday.

“We will risk so much that I wouldn’t even rule out playing with eight forwards… we haven’t got anything to lose.

“We have to be at our very best, flawless, but we will fight to end and this win [against La Real] is a good place to begin preparations for the game against Juve.”

Being Yoruba, Igbo Has Really Helped Me – Yemi Alade

In a short chat with Sunday Scoop, African known Yemi Alade has expressed how being from the Yoruba tribe and at the same time from an Igbo tribe has helped her. Speaking to the reporter she says it has being a plus and has helped her connect easily.

“You cannot underestimate the importance and role of tribes in Nigeria as it is taken very seriously. I am very proud of my heritage as an African and I try to portray in every way that I can and everywhere I go. Being partly Yoruba and Igbo is a big plus for me as it has helped me to connect with both cultures. However, I believe that both cultures are inextricably intertwined because they share a lot of similarities,” she said.

Yemi also stated that her first hit, Johnny was released by mistake. She said, “I was in the studio with Selebobo and we were just goofing around trying to come up with a nice sound. The first line for the song just came out playfully and I continued. I never thought that it would become a hit and if not that the song was leaked, I may never have released it.”

Teebillz: “If I Could Marry Tiwa Savage Again, There Would Be No Elaborate Wedding”

Almost a year to their very public spat that nearly saw not only the end of their marriage but also his life, Teebillz has for the first time spoken about how things would be different if he and Tiwa Savage could have done it all over again.

He was speaking as a panelist at Mind the Gap X, a love and relationship class for single, married and divorced people organized by Pastor Wale Adefarasin and life coach, Lanre Olusola.

‘If I have the chance of doing my marriage over again, l will put God first and not have an elaborate wedding,’ he said.

He went on to describe the tendency for men to want to be in control of the relationship as wrong.

‘It’s the 21st century and as men, most of us want to live like we are the lords of the marriage. You’re a partner. It’s about our weaknesses, we’re here to help each other.’

The couple, who had an extravagant traditional wedding in 2013 before topping it up with a destination wedding at the Armani Hotel, Dubai in April 2014, broke hearts and the Internet last year when Teebillz went on an Instagram rant.

In that rant, he accused Tiwa Savage of infidelity and subsequently attempted to take his own life.

Few days later, the singer released a 45-minute interview where she revealed that she only had been pretending to be happy as her husband was a drug addict and irresponsible father.

The couple have reportedly been undergoing intense marriage counseling by Lanre Olusola.

And those counselling sessions must be working as Tiwa and Tbillz have been seen together at events; she was also on hand to support her husband as he spoke at this one.

Here Are 9 Benefits Of Being Pregnant

Increased Libido

It might sound contradictory. But while you may not often be aroused during pregnancy, the times you do, you have great s*x. Thanks to the increased blood circulation that makes you more sensitive than usual.

Pregnancy Reduces The Risk Of Cancer

The hormones released during pregnancy help in reducing the risk of chest cancer and endometrial cancer. If you B.reastfeed each year, you also reduce the risk of chest cancer by over four percent.

Believe it or not, you might be doing much better than the gym-going non-pregnant women. Pregnant women have a great metabolism. Their aerobic capacity is boosted by thirty percent, and their hearts pump twice the regular amount of blood. The phenomenon lasts for a few months postpartum too, so if your fitness trends could be carried forward through pregnancy to postpartum period, and you could remain stronger than ever.

You Are Relaxed And Positive

Mood swings are a thing during pregnancy, but they are also momentary. Most times, you are relaxed because you no longer see yourself rushing into things. You have the privilege of people being considerate to you, some might offer help to do your tasks, you have good reasons to procrastinate, and you will unload most burdens during pregnancy. Bless the pregnancy hormones that make you feel good.

The Pregnancy Glow

Indulging in healthy food habits during pregnancy does well for your hair and skin. You have dense and glossy hair; your skin glows, you may have a great complexion, this time, around, and guess what, your nails will also grow stronger

Pregnancy Boosts Your Longevity

Did you know that pregnant women seize some of their baby’s new cells to make up for their aging ones? The interesting phenomenon has been confirmed through studies whereby male stem cells have been found in the bone marrow of mothers who have boys. It might explain why women outlive their male counterparts and why pregnancy could protect women against cancers, especially chest cancer.

You Have A Cleaner Lifestyle

Of course, with pregnancy you also get conscious of what you consume and what you do. You will manage to quit smoking with ease, unlike the non-pregnant ones who might need a rehab to give up cigarettes. You will be able to minimize your drinking as well. You will revert to eating healthy for many more months to come, this time with the intention of taking good care of your young one right from the time it’s in your womb. You give up silly and unhelpful diets that do you no good in the long run.

Your Illnesses Take A Downturn

Quite a few chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis or rheumatoid arthritis vanish during pregnancy. Scientists are not sure why this happens, but they owe it to the hormones. These conditions are likely to reappear after pregnancy, but you can enjoy the time now. Moreover, any health conditions that you may develop during pregnancy could help predict the conditions you might have in the future, so it makes it easy for medics to identify the symptoms and intervene early on. For instance, if a pregnant woman develops gestational diabetes, she is more predisposed to get type-2 diabetes later on. Early identification can help manage the situation later on.

Pregnancy Makes Your Bones Stronger

The weight gain during pregnancy has an additional advantage. Studies suggest that the extra pounds that you put on during pregnancy make your bones stronger, especially around the pelvic area. The extra weight might also make the hip muscles stronger thereby reducing the chances of a hip fracture later in life by forty-four percent. Researchers also believe that for every additional child you have, the risk of hip fracture will go further down by another nine percent!

Cote D’Ivoire, Senegal, Others Beat Nigeria On Global Trade Logistics Index

COTE D’Ivoire, Senegal and Sao Tome have beaten Nigeria to the fourth position in the World Bank new global trade Logistics Performance Index (LPI) for the year 2016.

The World Bank ranking revealed that Cote d’Ivoire led the West African region with an average point of 2.6, closely followed by Senegal and Sao Tome with 2.59 average point respectively in logistics competence in West Africa.

LPI is the weighted average of the country scores on the six key dimensions which include, efficiency of the clearance process, quality of trade and transport related infrastructure, ease of arranging competitively priced shipments, competence and quality of logistics services, ability to track and trace consignments, and timeliness of shipments in reaching destination within the scheduled or expected delivery time.

Efficiency of the clearance process

The scorecard allows comparisons with the world (with the option to display world’s best performer) and with the region or income group on the six indicators and the overall LPI index. On the number of export and import agencies, while Nigeria has eight and seven respectively, Senegal has three each for export and import as against two agencies each for Cote d’Ivoire.

For declaration submitted and processed electronically, Cote d’Ivoire recorded a 100 percent, just like the Senegalese counterpart, but Nigeria recorded a mere 63.64 percent. For the time spent on physical examination of cargoes, it takes two days to carry out the cargo examination process in Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal, while it takes four days in Nigeria.

For cargo examination without physical process, it takes three days in Nigeria, two days in Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal respectively.

Reacting to the development, Mr. Alban Igwe, Deputy National President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) said that Nigeria has refused to see the potentials in the logistics industry and, therefore, lacks the vision and strategy to grow the industry. He said that Logistics industry contributes 12 percent to global businesses adding that the benefit of a well structured logistics industry will continue to elude Nigeria if it does not take action to redress the current situation.

Similarly, Dr. Zeb Ikokide, a seasoned logistics expert and vice chairman of the Port Facility Security Officers (PFSO) told Vanguard that logistics industry lacks funding and urged the government to take a critical look at the logistic industry with a view to harnessing its potentials.

The current Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has finally broken his silence following accusations that he is the owner of the recovered $43 million found in a house in Ikoyi.
Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi

Following rumours linking the Minister of Transportation and immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to the recovered $43m found in a luxury apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos, the politician has denied the allegation.

Amaechi further stated that he does not have any link with the house in question.  He said he has no business, link or connection to the money or property and that he does not know who owns the money or the apartment.

He also dismissed the claims by his successor, Mr. Nyesom Wike that the money belongs to him (Amaechi).

Wike had alleged at a press conference on Friday night, that “the money in question belongs to the former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.”

He also insinuated that the “houses’” in Ikoyi equally belong to the former governor Amaechi.

In a statement released by his Media Office in Abuja on Saturday, Amaechi described the claims as malicious, frivolous and another failed attempt by Wike to divert attention from the mess he has created in Rivers State.

According to the statement, “Wike has stolen Rivers State dry. Wike and his gang have frittered billions of naira of Rivers people money away.

“Rivers State is perpetually in crisis, the state in a mess as Wike has made a total mess of governance in the State. That child who sits there as governor is confused, he doesn’t know what to do. Wike’s only solution is to attack Amaechi.

“Since he became governor, Wike sleeps and wakes up every day, with a sole, one-point agenda to attack and denigrate Rotimi Amaechi, no matter how ridiculous and silly he sounds.

“Everyday in Rivers State, there is one frivolous, false story of what Amaechi did or didn’t do. Same pattern, the same blatant lies with no proof, same old concocted stories of corruption allegations against Amaechi told with different flavours.

“At this rate, if Wike is unable to perform his spousal duties, he will blame it on Amaechi. Yes, that’s how despicably low he can go in his consuming fixation to throw mud at Amaechi.”

“This latest outburst by Wike is typical of him. We are aware that Wike first tried to float the fake news of Amaechi’s ownership of the recovered $43million and the Ikoyi house in the social media using his minions and lackeys, spending huge sums of Rivers money on the failed project.

“His minions and lackeys were calling journalists, bloggers and media organisations to run the fake story with promises of almost irresistible mouth-watering compensation for using the fake story.

“When that failed and the story didn’t gain traction that was when Wike decided to hurriedly hold the press conference Friday night, to rant and spew his outright lies, yet again without providing any proof of Amaechi’s ownership of both the property and the money.”

“For clarity and emphasis, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is not the owner of the $43million and the Ikoyi apartment in which the money was recovered from. Amaechi has no business, link or connection to the money or property. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi does not know who owns the money or Ikoyi apartment.”

Amaechi described Wike’s malicious allegation of corruption against Amaechi in the sale of the Gas Turbines as not new.

He said that the false claim had been punctured repeatedly with facts and evidence of the transfer payments for the power plants into Rivers State government accounts by Sahara Energy.

He said, “The records of how the funds were spent and what it was spent on are in the records of the State government. Amaechi has absolutely no business or any interest whatsoever in Sahara Energy. The company was already a thriving business concern before Amaechi’s emergence as governor of Rivers State in 2007.

“We urge all right-thinking members of the public to completely disregard all the false, politically motivated no-proof claims by Nyesom Wike and his minions as it concerns Amaechi and the $43million and Ikoyi property.

“The false accusations by Wike is purely diversionary, a political smear campaign against Amaechi by Wike, while he steals Rivers State blind. The fake claims is a figment of the imagination of Wike, an ignoble fellow who’s so reckless, irresponsible, and disgraceful, and has debased the high office he holds in trust for the people.

“Wike is a rabble-rouser and should not be taken seriously. He has made several false claims like this in the recent past and never went the whole length to prove it because he had no proof.

“Many would recall how Wike was screaming all over national television stations just before the Rivers State legislative Rerun elections that he had an explosive video, containing earth-shaking revelations and he would show the video on national TV. Till date, no video, just talk and talk, telling more and more lies.”

He challenged Wike to charge him to court if he has any shred of evidence that the money belongs to Rivers State and was kept in the Ikoyi apartment by him.

“But like his numerous frivolous accusations in the past, we know he won’t go to court. He has nothing to substantiate his blatant lies. This Wike’s recent tale like his previous ones is a big sham, a disgraceful political drama, and a campaign of calumny to defame and destroy the sterling reputation of Rotimi Amaechi. This is now Wike’s sole life ambition,” he added.

He urged Nigerians to note that “Wike’s reckless, irresponsible and fictitious tirade against the President Buhari administration at his media briefing of Friday” was a declaration of war against the Federal Government.

A Serving Minister Owns Millions of Dollars, Pounds and Naira, Found in an Apartment in Ikoyi – Mike Ozekhome

Outspoken Nigerian lawyer who has defeated EFCC severally has said that the money discovered at a building in Ikoyi belongs to a serving minister in Buhari’s cabinet.
Constitutional lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, SAN

Constitutional lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, SAN has made a shocking revelation saying that the millions of Dollars, Pounds and Naira, found in an apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos belongs to a ‘serving minister’  in President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

The lawyer further noted that the discoveries were meant to divert attention from the hunger, squalor, fear, disease, non-performance and cluelessness of All Progressives Congress government.

He further stated that recent developments were schemed by the government to make sure that Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, remains in charge of the agency.

The human rights activist made the claim in a statement yesterday where he said that “the farcical story that National Intelligence Agency NIA, Nigeria’s external secret Police has claimed ownership of the sum of $43.4m, £27, 800 and N23.2m is total hogwash, bunkum and balderdash.

Many people have pointed accusing fingers at the former governor of Rivers State now Transport Minister as being the owner of the cash even as the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike went public to say that he (Amaechi) stole the money from sales of turbines belonging to the state.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has also weighed in, insisting that Amaechi come clean on the matter.

Ozekhome, in his statement, said, “Let this government and its minions credit Nigerians with some modicum of sense and capacity to reason, even with their valiant attempts to cow, browbeat and intimidate all opposition elements and critical voices in their so called corruption war.

“At least, not even the terror halo cast on our individual and collective psyche has dulled our analytical minds.

“The entire theatricality and Baba Sala’s Alawada Kerikeri buffoonery ought to be reserved for some circus show at the National Theatre or Trafalgar Square, where comedians and humour merchants entertain.

“The emergent facts do not show NIA’s ownership of the money, but grand cover-up of a serving minister’s ownership of the money.

“It is so, so sad that all these national diversions are simply geared towards highlighting and emphasizing the omnipotence and indispensability of just one man, Ibrahim Magu, as Executive Chairman of the EFCC. We should build strong institutions, not strong individuals.

“Before Ibrahim Magu, there was a Nuhu Ribadu; there was a Mrs Waziri: and there was an Ibrahim Lamorde. After Magu, there would still be another EFCC Executive Chairman.

“All these so-called humongous recoveries of orphaned monies are simply geared towards showcasing ineffable efficiency, effectiveness and matchless proficiency.

“It simply doesn’t work that way. In the USA, wherefrom we borrowed our presidentialism, the equivalent agency works silently behind the scene, only seen, but never heard, except where it becomes absolutely necessary.

“But, here in Nigeria, the EFCC engages in grotesque media trial, hifalutin and shocking disclosures of orphaned monies whose destinations after the media hype are never known.

“Where are all the alleged recoveries of are vast sums, attached properties, etc, made by the EFCC, kept and how much are they?

“When asked this question by the Senate during screening, Magu told a shocked and bewildered Nation he did not know!

“We seem now fixated to name, shame and humiliate Nigerians with the paint brush of shame, odium, obloquy and denigration.

“How can about N15 billion be found in highbrow Osborne Road, Ikoyi, by no means a back squalid street?

“How can a foreign arm of the Nigerian secret Police, the equivalent of CIA, keep such hard currency in cash at an unguarded apartment, tucked away with many other apartments in a block of flats, not in a separate heavily fortified and fiercely guarded stand -alone building that has “keep off” carefully imprinted on it?

“What was it meant for and who approved it and in which budget?

“Who was the whistle blower that could identify that such money was “hidden” in the bedroom in flat 7A, leaving out flat 7B, yet not knowing who kept the money there or its ownership?

“Why was EFCC not pictured or videotaped going into the apartment, before we suddenly saw an arranged “counting” of money?

“Is there no CCTV in such a highbrow wealthy society members abode?

“Can we see the footages please? Only last week, N49m orphaned sum was “arrested” at Kaduna Airport!

“Then, suddenly another sum of orphaned N448m was “discovered” in an ownerless shop in Victoria Island.

“Who owned the plaza? Who sold there? Are there no CCTV there? Can we see them please?

“The truth is that all these simulated ‘arrangee’ discoveries can only temporarily divert attention from the hunger, squalor, fear, disease, not performance and cluelessness of this government.

“But, unfortunately, even lies have their expiry date. Truth is inexorable, immutable and eternal.

“The chicken will finally come home to roost”.

Wike is Mad for Linking Amaechi to the $43.45million Found in a Lagos Apartment – NIMASA DG

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has been accused of suffering from self delusion over his latest attempt to link the recovered $43.45million found in a Lagos apartment to Chibuike Amaechi.
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State

An All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart in Rivers, Dr. Dakuku Peterside has questioned the mental state  of Governor Nyesom Wike after  Wike claimed that the $43.45million found in a Lagos apartment belongs to Rivers Government.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC)  recovered the suspicious money in different currencies at a residence in Ikoyi, Lagos State. Wike claimed that the money was the proceeds from the sale of gas turbines by Rotimi Amaechi, who was his predecessor.

Peterside, who is Director General, Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), and who also served in the Amaechi administration as a commissioner for works and later a member of the House of Representatives, slammed Wike’s claim as deceptive.

He accused the  governor of turning governance into a circus show and lacking the sense of dignity by constantly being in the news for all the wrong reasons.

“Not too long ago, Wike apparently suffering from overdose of self delusion said he  awarded road projects in far away Benue State and had mobilised contractors to site.

“The same Wike has also accused the Inspector General of Police of plotting to assassinate him through the new CP in Rivers State.

“We thought these were jokes taken too far. But the clownish governor has surprised himself with another tale by moonlight in trying to link his former boss and benefactor to the unclaimed money,” he said.

According to Peterside,  there is need to examine Wike’s state of mind because his utterances and actions are embarrassing Rivers people.

“Time and time again, Wike is bringing ridicule to the office he occupies and embarrassing the people of Rivers State who are known to be intelligent, responsible and decent in upbringing,” he said.

The APC chieftain said Amaechi, Minister of Transportation had since denied owning the said house in Lagos and challenged the Rivers Government to provide evidence to the contrary.

Peterside explained that the money realised from the sale of gas turbines was paid into the account of Rivers state and  used for projects.

“While Wike can never come near the record of Amaechi, he is doing everything to reverse the unmatchable records of his predecessor.

” As at today, no one has seen copies of 2016 and 2017 budgets of Rivers State. Schools and health centres are shutting down with thousands of school age children out of school,” he said.

“It is people like Wike who have made Nigerians to call to question the issue of immunity in the Constitution. He is taking immunity as shield to abuse the dignity of the office of Governor.

“The governor can still retrace his steps and follow the path of dignity, decorum and respect the office he occupies for he holds it in trust on behalf of Rivers people,” he said.

Peterside also said he had been a victim of the lies being told by the Wike Clan,  as he was accused by  the PDP chairman in the state, of using $6m to influence judicial officers.

Wike and Peterside contested the 2015 governorship election in the state.

Parents Aged 14 & 15 Flee Hospital With Their 3 Day Old Baby (Photos)

Two teenage parents who smuggled their newborn baby out of hospital in the middle of the night fear they’ll never see their daughter again – but have vowed to fight for her.

Jenifer and her fiancé Jayden Lavender, 14, left the Sydney hospital with three-day-old baby Aria at 12.30am on Thursday, prompting local police to issue an urgent appeal for their return and sparking a 16-hour search.

The teens were found safe and well after spending a night camping with their daughter, but they have not seen the baby since.

The family claims mum Jenifer Morrison, aged just 15, hasn’t been allowed to express B.reast milk so that hospital staff can feed her baby.

Speaking to 7News outside the Lavender family home, they explained why they ran away with their baby.

Dad Jayden said:

“All we wanted to do was spend Easter with her. We’re a Christian family, that’s the one thing I love. We go to church and everything.

Fighting back tears, teen mum Jenifer said:

“I would be a good mother for her, I just want her home and safe.
“I don’t know what I’ve done wrong and me and Jayden would be awesome for her.”

When a reporter asked if she’s not going to give up on her baby, the young mum replied:

“No. She’s gonna be there for me and I’ll be there for her. And I’m gonna fight for her.”

Jayden said:

“I’ve never felt this pain in my body ever. Now she’s my pride and joy, like as soon as I saw her I was like, she looks exactly how I did when I was a baby.”

As they returned home without baby Aria, reporters questioned Jayden’s mother, Tracy Lavender, about the incident, saying it “must be heartbreaking for them.”

“Yeah it is,” she replied before saying: “I knew that my son would look after his baby and his girlfriend.
“They shouldn’t be having the baby taken off them. They’re good parents.”

Police told 7News the couple hadn’t broken the law but “knew what they were doing was wrong” – they were scared their baby would be taken and felt they had to hide.

Senator Dino Melaye Escapes Assassination After Gunmen Invaded His House…See Details

Outspoken senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dino Melaye will have many reasons to be thankful after he successfully escaped an assassination attempt on his life.
Senator Dino Melaye

Sen. Dino Melaye escaped death by the whiskers as gunmen invaded his house in the early hours of Saturday at Ayetoro-Gbede in Kogi State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), gathered that the gunmen numbering about ten arrived the house at about midnight through the bush and opened fire from different directions on the house.

The house was riddled with bullets while two of the vehicles parked in the estate were damaged by the hoodlums.

Melaye, (APC-Kogi West), was in his country home at Ayetoro-Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area for the Easter holiday at the time of the attack

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP William Aya told NAN that the police received a distress call from the senator at about 1 a.m. and immediately responded.

He said the hoodlums escaped before the police arrived, thereby making arrest impossible.

Aya said the Commissioner of Police, Mr Wilson Inalegwu had set up an investigation committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations to unravel those behind the attack.

On his part, Melaye said the hoodlums arrived at about midnight and started shooting sporadically at the main building in the compound.

He said the shooting lasted for almost one hour, adding that apart from the building riddled with bullets, two of his vehicles were damaged.

The senator said he suspected Mr Taufiq Isa, the Administrator of Ijumu Local Government to be behind the attack.

According to him, the attack is most likely due to his incessant verbal attacks on the State Government.

“I got a rousing welcome from Kabba to my home town on Friday and I know it angered the power that is in the state which mobilised for this assassination attempt on my life.

“At about midnight, we started hearing gunshots. They fired more than 200 rounds of bullet into the house. This attempt to kill me will not stop me from speaking the truth.

“If I speak the truth, I will die, if I lie, I will die. I’ve decided to speak the truth and die. I’m not afraid of death. I only respect men, I don’t fear them.

“I am championing an administrative course. I will continue to speak and be the voice to the voiceless. I’m not deterred; I remain resolute to make Kogi better. Noting will stop me from coming home.”

Melaye also chided the police for not responding quickly to his distress call, saying that the house of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the town was a stone thrown from the scene of the attempt on his life.

“The DPO did not come to my house until three hours later. Even the area Commander in Kabba was not notified until I called the Commissioner of police. I suspect a satanic collaboration between Taufiq Isa and the police in Aiyetoro because the duo held a meeting two days ago.

“Only God will protect us in this country but definitely not the police”, he said.

In a swift reaction, Isa denied having a hand in the attempt on the life of the Senator, saying that he had been busy for sometime taking care of his sick wife.

“I’ve never been a violent man. My running battle with Dino Melaye, if any, is because I have asked him to stop vilifying the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

“Let him (Dino) prove it. I lost my uncle a week ago; I’m still attending to my sick wife and busy supervising the APC re- registration programmes. I’m a democrat and law abiding. I challenge Dino to prove his case,” he said.

Victory! Donald Trump’s ‘Most Powerful Bomb’ Kills 92 Deadly ISIS Terrorist Fighters

America’s most powerful non-nuclear bomb has proved its after it successfully killed 92 ISIS terrorists in Afghanistan.
President Donald Trump

Afghan authorities Saturday reported a jump in fatalities from the American military’s largest non-nuclear bomb, the MOAB, declaring some 92 Islamic State fighters dead, as US-led ground forces advanced on their mountain hideouts.

Dubbed the “Mother Of All Bombs”, the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast was unleashed in combat for the first time Thursday, hitting IS positions in a remote area of eastern Nangarhar province.

The unprecedented attack triggered global shock waves, with some condemning the use of Afghanistan as what they called a testing ground for the weapon, and against a militant group that is not considered a threat as big as the resurgent Taliban.

The bomb smashed IS’s hideouts, a tunnel-and-cave complex that had been mined against conventional ground attacks, engulfing the remote area in a huge mushroom cloud and towering flames.

“At least 92 Daesh (IS) fighters were killed in the bombing,” Achin district governor Esmail Shinwari told AFP on Saturday.

Shinwari said that American and Afghan ground forces were slowly advancing on the mountainous area blanketed with landmines, but there were still some pockets of resistance from insurgents.

“New fighters have probably come from the other side of the border to collect the dead bodies,” he added.

Nangarhar provincial spokesman Attaullah Khogyani gave a death toll of 90, far higher than the initial toll of 36 IS fighters given by Afghan officials.

Shinwari insisted there were “no military and civilian casualties at all”.

Security experts say IS had built their redoubts close to civilian homes, but the government said thousands of local families had already fled the area in recent months of fighting.

An elderly man who lives close to the bombing site in Achin’s Momand Dara area said the blast was so piercingly loud that his infant granddaughter was experiencing hearing loss.

The massive bomb was dropped after fighting intensified over the past week and US-backed ground forces struggled to advance on the area. An American special forces soldier was killed last Saturday in Nangarhar while conducting anti-IS operations.

“The enemy had created bunkers, tunnels and extensive mine fields, and this weapon was used to reduce those obstacles so that we could continue our offensive in Nangarhar,” General John Nicholson, the top US commander in Afghanistan, said on Friday.

President Ashraf Ghani threw his support behind the bombardment, saying it was “designed to support the efforts of the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) and US forces conducting clearance operations in the region.”

The bombing came only a week after US President Donald Trump ordered missile strikes against Syria in retaliation for a suspected chemical attack, and as China warned of the potential for conflict amid rising US tensions with North Korea.

Trump hailed the mission in Achin as “very, very successful”.

But some analysts called the action “disproportionate”.

“The Trump administration made a lot of noise with this bomb, but the general state of play on the ground remains the same: The Taliban continues to wage a formidable and ferocious insurgency. ISIS, by comparison, is a sideshow,” Michael Kugelman of the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington told AFP, using an alternative acronym for IS.

Read President Muhammadu Buhari’s Easter Message to Nigerian Christians Celebriting Jesus

Christians in Nigeria have been urged by President Muhammadu Buhari to live peacefully with other citizens as they celebrate the Easter.
President Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicited with Christains who are celebrating the Easter as he said it should be a time of sober reflection. Buhari urged Christians to use this spiritual moment to reflect on how to move the country ahead.

The President in his Easter message further advised Christians to "to live peacefully with one another and do their utmost to make Nigeria a beautiful place to reside."

He said: "I congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters on the celebration of this year’s Easter.
I rejoice with you on this historic occasion signifying the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, redemption over condemnation, and hope over despair.
The commemoration of this special season in Christianity, is always preceded by fasting, piety, humility, penance and prayers of intercession in the build up to the death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, an event which reunited man with his Creator.
The message of Easter is filled with themes of love, faith, sacrifice, dedication, commitment, fulfilment of prophecy, hope, expectation and victory, as espoused in the Scriptures and the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate yet another Easter, I urge all Nigerians to live peacefully with one another and do their utmost to make Nigeria a beautiful place to reside.

In the almost two years of this administration, we have worked hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians by improving security, especially in the North-East, sustaining the campaign against corruption and have taken steps to revitalize the economy.
We are determined as never before to continue with the fight against terrorism and insurgency; sustain the peace in the Niger Delta through engagements with stakeholders; and restore peace and stability in other parts of the country.
It is in our collective interest to live in peace because without peace, no meaningful and sustainable development can take place. Lack of peace in one part affects in one way or the other, all parts of the country. Our people must rediscover the values of peaceful co-existence, social justice, religious tolerance, dignity of labour and patriotism.
I enjoin all Nigerians to keep faith in the determination and ability of this administration to change the Nigerian story for the good of all.
I wish all Nigerians happy Easter celebrations."

Veteran hiphop artiste, Ruggedman has expressed his disappointment in the lack of trust for him from women that he has tried dating, a major reason why he is still unmarried.
Ruggedman
Popular rap artiste Michael Ugochukwu Stephen, popularly known as Ruggedman has revealed the reason why he is still unmarried in his early 40s.

In a recent interview with Saturday Beats, the ‘Baraje’ crooner noted that he was not scared of marriage and gave reasons why he had not tied the knot.

“I am not scared of marriage. I am just tired of meeting women who can’t trust me or women who find it hard to believe that I genuinely like them all because I am an entertainer. It is a pity because entertainment is my job.

"I know some entertainers are a bit reckless but you can’t assume that all entertainers are the same. When I date, I do my best to put my woman’s mind at rest and let her know she is the one. But it ends the same way. They can’t handle dating an entertainer and they would rather just end the relationship,”
he said.

It would be recaled that in the past, the rapper and enterpreneur had been linked with a few women including popular Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar and former Lux soap ambassador, Laide Olaogun.

Pretty Nollwyoood actress, Bimbo Akintola

Veteran actress Bimbo Akintola has revealed that she is open to the possibility of becoming a single mother in the absence of having a husband popularly referred to a ‘babymama’.

She revealed this while speaking in an interview with Tunde Ajaja. When asked if she could consider having a child out of wedlock, she said: “Of course, I can. Definitely, I can do it because I don’t see anything wrong with it.

"Things are changing in the world at large. If you look around, you would find a lot of women are having babies and taking care of themselves. It’s everywhere.

"There are women who are not actors but are single mothers, and for a lot of people, I think it’s about their biological clock. Instead of waiting for manna from heaven and you know there is no manna, and you feel the need to have children, then do it.”

On whether she’d be bothered that people would feel she’s incomplete without a man, she said: “We have to change our thinking, due to the time. You can’t be rooted in the past when the present and future are a totally different place.

"If you look at what is going on now, there are women looking for a husband but can’t find. So would you now say because of that they shouldn’t have children? That’s unnecessary and it’s like making them suffer twice.

"I think for anybody that wants to have children, as long as you know you are capable of taking care of them financially and emotionally, why not.”
